Emerge Academy is an Indigenous hockey academy located in Langenburg, Saskatchewan. We provide sport-based education and development programming for youth. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial legislation.

Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern enrollment and participation at Emerge Academy. By enrolling a student or participating in any Emerge Academy program, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Enrollment

Enrollment is subject to availability and completion of all required registration forms, medical disclosures, and payment of applicable fees. Emerge Academy reserves the right to decline or discontinue enrollment where a student's needs cannot be appropriately supported or where conduct policies are violated.

2. Fees and Payment

Tuition and program fees are due as outlined in your enrollment agreement. Late payments may result in suspension of services. Emerge Academy's refund policy is as follows:

  • Withdrawal before program start: Deposit is non-refundable; remaining fees refunded in full.

  • Withdrawal within the first 30 days: 50% refund of remaining term fees.

  • Withdrawal after 30 days: No refund unless withdrawal is due to documented medical necessity.

Financial hardship cases will be considered on an individual basis. Contact administration to discuss options.

3. Code of Conduct

All students, families, and visitors are expected to conduct themselves with respect, integrity, and cultural sensitivity. Emerge Academy is built on Indigenous values and community. The following will not be tolerated:

  • Harassment, bullying, or discrimination of any kind

  • Disrespect toward staff, coaches, or fellow students

  • Conduct that endangers health or safety

  • Possession or use of alcohol, drugs, or weapons on campus

Violations may result in suspension or expulsion without refund.

4. Health and Safety

Parents and guardians are required to disclose all relevant medical conditions, allergies, and medications at the time of enrollment. This information is used solely to protect student health and safety. Emerge Academy staff are not medical professionals and will not administer prescription medications unless a signed authorization and physician's instructions are provided.

In the event of a medical emergency, we will contact emergency services and the designated emergency contact immediately.

5. Photography and Media

Emerge Academy may capture photos and video of students during programming for use in promotional and educational materials, including social media and the Academy website. Specific consent for each student's likeness will be obtained via a separate media release form during enrollment. You may withdraw media consent at any time in writing.

6. Travel and Off-Campus Activities

Students may participate in off-campus activities, tournaments, or travel. Participation requires a signed waiver and parental/guardian consent. Emerge Academy will exercise reasonable care for student safety during all Academy-organized travel, but is not liable for circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

7. Intellectual Property

All curriculum materials, training programs, branding, and content produced by Emerge Academy are the intellectual property of the Academy and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used without written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

Participation in sport involves inherent risk. By enrolling, you acknowledge that Emerge Academy is not liable for injuries, losses, or damages arising from participation in hockey or other athletic activities, except where caused by the gross negligence of Academy staff.

9. Amendments

Emerge Academy reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Notice will be provided to enrolled families via email. Continued enrollment following notice constitutes acceptance of amended terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Saskatchewan and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
